“OMEGA” is being developed and maintained by Frank Matthews to explore old and new bridge ideas for bidding and defense. This site may never be completely finished - always another "brush stroke". Many Ideas are original. Several are "borrowed" and expanded from many sources. Only the "finished canvas" is proprietary.
With my wife, Virginia, and several others, I have enjoyed bridge events and individual hands for many years - and plan to continue for many more. Each event or hand was a unique opportunity never before experienced. Each presented a new lesson, idea, discovery, or challenge. If you do not find this in your bridge, you are missing a greater enjoyment and satisfaction.
Success and enjoyment at the bridge table requires more than the ability to remember bidding systems and agreed defense strategy. Real enjoyment and success requires recognizing a new problem 'not exactly covered by the rules' - then following the thread of logic that leads to the best answer, result or solution.
Initial development of this site may be limited to basic outline format. Later expansion may include comments and examples. Visitors are always invited to submit remarks, experiences, and suggestions. More than one "SYSTEM" will be developed and presented. However, this file is limited only to the "OMEGA".
